Project Overview
Surrounded by mature trees and lush landscapes, the 660 West Northcroft project in Lake Forest involved the comprehensive transformation of a traditional suburban estate. The story behind this home centers on a family transitioning into a new phase of life, desiring a sanctuary that felt both rooted in classical design and invigorated by modern sensibilities. They wanted a retreat that offered cozy intimacy alongside spaces suitable for formal gatherings.
To realize this vision, our approach celebrated bespoke craftsmanship and layered textures. We honored the home’s architectural heritage by incorporating rich custom millwork and period-appropriate detailing, but kept the spaces feeling fresh by utilizing a lighter, more contemporary color palette. Thoughtfully sourced antiques were mixed with custom-designed, modern lighting fixtures to create visual tension and interest.
The client’s goal was a seamless flow of energy throughout the home. By reimagining the spatial layout and maximizing natural light, we cultivated an environment of timeless comfort. The result is an elegant, highly personalized estate that perfectly supports the family’s sophisticated yet relaxed daily life.
